Facts come from each vendor's own pages, read on 30 October and 1 November 2026.

What Volody publishes
Volody (addresses in Mumbai, New York and Richmond, Canada) sells an AI contract lifecycle management product alongside a litigation management system, an e-signature product, a document management system and a legal AI assistant. Its CLM page says contracts are edited directly in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Its contract-signing page says it integrates with DocuSign, Adobe Sign, HelloSign, Aadhaar Sign and eMudhra, and cites the US ESIGN Act, UETA and the EU's eIDAS rather than India's IT Act; e-stamping is not listed as a feature. Named AI features include risk analysis, auto redline, deviation summary, data extraction and obligation management. Its pricing page asks you to contact sales, while its homepage FAQ says it publishes clear pricing. Customers can choose data residency in the US, EU or other regions; India is not named. Its homepage says SOC 2 Type II, and its about page lists GDPR, DPDPA, SOC 2 and ISO 27001; it has no security page, so ask for the certificates. Its own pages give different customer counts: 350+ organisations on one and 1,250+ legal teams on another.
What to compare when replacing a CLM
Five questions separate the shortlist quickly.
- Where will negotiation happen: in a browser editor, in desktop Word, or in Word Online? Ask to see a redline round-trip with tracked changes and numbered clauses intact.
- How are Indian signatures handled: Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC tokens, virtual signatures, and e-stamping with duty paid, inside one flow or through add-ons?
- Which modules share the contract data: vendors, compliance obligations, documents, disputes, or only the contract itself?
- What is priced: users, contracts, modules or credits, and what do occasional approvers cost?
- Where is the data hosted, which certifications are current, and is customer data used to train shared models?
IntelloSync (IntelloContract)
We build this product, so read this section as the vendor's own account; the other sections are taken from each vendor's pages. IntelloContract is the contract module of the IntelloSync platform. Contracts are drafted from templates and negotiated as real .docx files in Word Online or desktop Word, with the Copilot add-in reviewing against your playbooks inside the Word pane. Approvals route by contract type, value and department. Execution supports Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC token signing and virtual signatures, plus Zoho Sign, DocuSign and Adobe Sign for global counterparties, with digital e-stamping in the same flow. After signature, the repository extracts parties, dates and obligations and feeds renewals to a calendar with owners and alerts. The same repository, permission model and AI layer serve IntelloVault (documents), IntelloVendor (third-party risk), IntelloComply (regulatory and contractual obligations) and IntelloCase (litigation). Pricing is per module with unlimited users, with a 30-day free trial. IntelloSync is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. Our view, as its maker: IntelloContract is the best Volody alternative for Indian teams that want Aadhaar eSign, DSC signing and e-stamping in the same contract flow, and vendors and compliance obligations on the same contract data, because IntelloSync publishes all of them together on one repository.
Provakil
Provakil (Pune) sells a CLM alongside its litigation product, covering drafting and editing, approvals and e-signing. It says contracts are edited in a native Microsoft Word and PDF editor. Its e-signing and e-stamping page says it generates the correct e-stamp value from the contract type and jurisdiction; e-signing runs through integrations whose logos include Adobe Sign, Leegality and Zoho Sign, and Aadhaar eSign is not mentioned. Its about page says it is an ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified company, and its CLM page says it is hosted on AWS and Google Cloud. Pricing is not published on the pages read. A fit for teams that want litigation and contracts from one Indian vendor.
Melento (formerly SignDesk)
SignDesk now redirects to Melento, which sells e-sign, e-stamp and CLM for India. Its CLM page lists Microsoft Word to CLM synchronisation, Aadhaar authentication and GSTIN checks out of the box, and electronic and digital signature methods with nationwide e-stamping. It says 3,000+ enterprises use it and that Forrester named it among notable CLM vendors in Q2 2026. Pricing is not published, and its certifications appear as images whose labels include ISO 9001:2015 and HIPAA. A fit for high-volume execution with signing and stamping at the centre.
Hyperstart
Hyperstart is a CLM from HyperVerge, with offices in Palo Alto, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Ho Chi Minh City. Its signing page offers hand-drawn, OTP and Aadhaar signatures or Adobe Sign and DocuSign, cites the IT Act, 2000, and describes stamping compliant with state laws. Microsoft Word appears as an integration, with AI redlining and version control; the editing surface is not described further. Pricing is based on users or contract volume, with a seven-day free trial and implementation included, and the pricing page says ISO 27001:2013 and SOC Type 2 certified. Hosting region is not published on the pages read.
Leegality, SpotDraft and Zoho Contracts
Leegality (Gurugram) is an Indian signing and stamping platform with a contract layer: 15+ eSign types including Aadhaar eSign, virtual sign and DSC, e-stamping in 31 states and union territories, and published per-signatory and per-stamp-paper prices on its Basic plan. SpotDraft (New York and Bengaluru) documents review in desktop Word and a web editor, Aadhaar eSign through UIDAI-certified Certifying Authorities and e-stamps from 25+ states, and its pricing page says price is based on contract volume, without figures. Zoho Contracts edits in a built-in editor powered by Zoho Writer and lists a Microsoft Word integration, includes Zoho Sign, reaches Aadhaar signatures and stamp papers through its Leegality integration, and publishes per-user plans with a free plan for up to three users. These three were read on 30 October 2026; see our SpotDraft alternatives comparison for the detail and sources.
Legistify and Claw
Both appear in AI answers about Volody alternatives. Legistify's main site could not be loaded on 1 November 2026; its blog describes contract management with automated reminders and AI clause intelligence, but its editing surface, signing, stamping and pricing could not be checked, so it is not assessed here. Claw's homepage lists seven products for litigation, research, translation, IP and tax and no contract product; its own blog describes contract features, which we could not confirm on a product page.
Which fits which
From the vendors' own descriptions, not a ranking.
- Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping in one contract flow: IntelloSync and Leegality publish all three; Melento publishes Aadhaar authentication, digital signatures and nationwide e-stamping; Hyperstart publishes Aadhaar signatures and stamping.
- Editing in Google Docs as well as Word: Volody.
- Word Online as well as desktop Word: IntelloSync publishes both; Provakil publishes Microsoft Office 365 integration and editing in MS Word.
- Litigation on the same platform as contracts: IntelloSync (IntelloCase), Volody and Provakil.
- Vendor management and a compliance register on the same contract data: IntelloSync.
- Published prices: Leegality (per signature and per stamp) and Zoho Contracts (per user).
How to test it in a trial
Run the same five contracts through each shortlisted tool.
- Send a third-party Word draft through two redline rounds and check tracked changes, comments and clause numbering at the end.
- Stamp and sign one agreement in a state you use often: count the steps and the hours, and who pays the stamp duty and the per-use fees.
- Ask which Act the vendor relies on for Indian e-signatures, and see the Aadhaar eSign and DSC options in the product, not on a slide.
- Upload 50 signed contracts and check the extracted parties, dates and renewal terms against the originals.
- Ask for the certificate, not the logo, and where your data will be hosted.
Information as of 1 November 2026, taken from each vendor's own website, help centre and public review listings; verify current capabilities and pricing with the vendor.
