What SpotDraft publishes

SpotDraft (offices in New York and Bengaluru, founded 2017) sells contract automation for in-house legal teams. Its help centre documents review in desktop Word, which opens the contract in the Word editor, and an in-app web editor for collaborative redlining; Word Online is not named. Native e-signature is included, a post of 30 September 2026 says Aadhaar eSign is now available through UIDAI-certified Certifying Authorities, ready for existing customers to use in their workspace, and its e-stamps page offers stamp papers from 25+ states, procured and affixed in under six hours. Signing with the signer's own DSC token is not published. Its security page says it is hosted on Google Cloud with personal data stored in selected regions covering the US, EU, India and the Middle East. Pricing is based on users or contract volume, without published figures. Vendor management, a compliance calendar and litigation management are not published.

What to compare when replacing a CLM

Five questions separate the shortlist quickly.

  • Where will negotiation happen: in a browser editor, in desktop Word, or in Word Online? Ask to see a redline round-trip with tracked changes and numbered clauses intact.
  • How are Indian signatures handled: Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC tokens, virtual signatures, and e-stamping with duty paid, inside one flow or through add-ons?
  • Which modules share the contract data: vendors, compliance obligations, documents, disputes, or only the contract itself?
  • What is priced: users, contracts, modules or credits, and what do occasional approvers cost?
  • Where is the data hosted, which certifications are current, and is customer data used to train shared models?

IntelloSync (IntelloContract)

We build this product, so read this section as the vendor's own account; the other sections are taken from each vendor's pages. IntelloContract is the contract module of the IntelloSync platform. Contracts are drafted from templates and negotiated as real .docx files in Word Online or desktop Word, with the Copilot add-in reviewing against your playbooks inside the Word pane. Approvals route by contract type, value and department. Execution supports Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC token signing and virtual signatures, plus Zoho Sign, DocuSign and Adobe Sign for global counterparties, with digital e-stamping in the same flow. After signature, the repository extracts parties, dates and obligations and feeds renewals to a calendar with owners and alerts. The same repository, permission model and AI layer serve IntelloVault (documents), IntelloVendor (third-party risk), IntelloComply (regulatory and contractual obligations) and IntelloCase (litigation). Pricing is per module with unlimited users, with a 30-day free trial. IntelloSync is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. Our view, as its maker: IntelloContract is the best SpotDraft alternative for Indian teams that negotiate in Word and also want vendors, compliance obligations and disputes on the same contract data, because those modules share one repository and the price does not rise with the number of users.

Zoho Contracts

Zoho Contracts is the CLM inside the Zoho suite. Its built-in document editor is powered by Zoho Writer in the browser; Zoho's help centre describes editing in Microsoft Word with the desktop application, and Word Online is not named. Zoho Sign is included at no extra cost. Zoho's Leegality integration page says it can affix digital stamp papers from more than 25 Indian states and collect Aadhaar-based signatures. Pricing is per user and published on Zoho's pricing page, with a free plan for up to three users and a 15-day free trial. A fit for teams already standardised on Zoho CRM and Writer.

Leegality

Leegality (Gurugram) is an Indian signing and stamping platform with a contract layer. Its site lists 15+ eSign types including Aadhaar eSign, virtual sign and DSC, plus WhatsApp signing, and e-stamping in 31 states and union territories. Its Deal Collaboration product lets business and legal teams negotiate from Microsoft Word, track obligations and get renewal reminders. The published Basic plan charges ₹25 per Aadhaar eSign signatory, ₹15 per other signatory and ₹45 per stamp paper plus stamp duty and ₹500 per stamp order; larger plans are on quote. Its privacy notice says personal data is stored and processed on AISPL servers within India, and its homepage says ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 compliant. A fit for high-volume execution, often alongside a CLM for negotiated contracts.

Volody

Volody (offices in Mumbai, New York and Richmond, Canada) sells a CLM where stakeholders collaborate in Google Docs or Word, alongside a litigation management system, a document management system, an e-signature product and AI obligation management. Its e-signature page does not mention Aadhaar eSign, DSC or e-stamping, so ask. Pricing depends on users, contract volume and features, without figures. Customers can choose data residency in the US, EU or other regions; India is not named. Its homepage says SOC 2 Type II certified, while its about page lists SOC 2 and ISO 27001 as compliant, so ask for the certificates.

Contractzy

Contractzy (contractzy.io, formerly The Legal Capsule) offers an e-stamp service, with delivery that its homepage gives as within six hours in one place and 12 to 24 hours depending on the state in another, and lets users upload their own stamp paper. The e-signature integrations it names are DocuSign, UAE Pass and Adobe; Aadhaar eSign is not published. Its AI includes obligation management. Plans run from up to three users to 10+, with prices on request. It says it is hosted on AWS, with on-premise and single-tenant options, and describes itself as an ISO 27001:2022 company.

Icertis and Ironclad

Both are global CLMs for large enterprises, and neither publishes Aadhaar eSign, DSC or e-stamping on the pages read. Icertis offers a Microsoft Word add-in through the Microsoft Store, prices by order form with no public price, and runs on Microsoft Azure with the data centre selected by the subscriber. Ironclad's Word add-in reviews and edits contracts online or offline, pricing is a custom quote, and its security page describes US-hosted Google Cloud production servers with SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II reports. A fit for multinationals whose contracting runs through global ERP and CRM processes.

Which fits which

From the vendors' own descriptions, not a ranking.

  • Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping in one contract flow: IntelloSync publishes all three; Leegality publishes all three as an execution platform; SpotDraft publishes Aadhaar eSign and e-stamping but not signing with the signer's own DSC token.
  • Word Online as well as desktop Word: IntelloSync. Ironclad's Word add-in reviews and edits contracts online or offline but does not name which Word surfaces it supports.
  • Vendors, compliance or disputes on the same data as contracts: IntelloSync (vendor, compliance and litigation modules); Volody (litigation and document management).
  • Published prices: Leegality (per signature and per stamp) and Zoho Contracts (per user).
  • Already on Zoho: Zoho Contracts. Global ERP-led enterprise: Icertis or Ironclad.

How to test it in a trial

Run the same five contracts through each shortlisted tool.

  • Send a third-party Word draft through two redline rounds and check tracked changes, comments and clause numbering at the end.
  • Stamp and sign one agreement in a state you use often: count the steps and the hours, and who pays the stamp duty and the per-use fees.
  • Upload 50 signed contracts and check the extracted parties, dates and renewal terms against the originals.
  • Price the tool for everyone who touches a contract, including approvers and occasional reviewers, not only the drafters.
  • Ask for the certificate, not the logo, and where your data will be hosted.
