Alternatives to Icertis for mid-size companies in India
Alternatives to Icertis for mid-size companies in India include IntelloSync's IntelloContract, SpotDraft, Leegality, Zoho Contracts and Provakil, with Juro, Ironclad and Workday Contract Lifecycle Management (formerly Evisort) from abroad. They differ on Indian signing and stamping, where lawyers edit, how they price and where data is hosted. Facts come from each vendor's own pages, read on 30 October and 1 November 2026.

What Icertis publishes
Icertis (nine global offices including Pune) says the Global Fortune 500 runs on it, with contracts in 90+ countries and 2,000+ employees, and that 30%+ of the Fortune 100 trust it. It integrates with Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Teams and Dynamics 365, and runs exclusively on Microsoft Azure and Azure Government. E-signature runs through Adobe Sign and DocuSign adapters; Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping are not published on the pages read. Pricing is not published. Its trust centre offers its ISO 27001 certificate and SOC reports. Mid-size Indian companies usually look elsewhere because of implementation scale, the absence of Indian signing and stamping, and price.
What to compare when Icertis is too big
Five questions separate the shortlist quickly.
- Where will negotiation happen: in a browser editor, in desktop Word, or in Word Online? Ask to see a redline round-trip with tracked changes and numbered clauses intact.
- How are Indian signatures handled: Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC tokens, virtual signatures, and e-stamping with duty paid, inside one flow or through add-ons?
- Which modules share the contract data: vendors, compliance obligations, documents, disputes, or only the contract itself?
- What is priced: users, contracts, modules or credits, and what do occasional approvers cost?
- Where is the data hosted, which certifications are current, and is customer data used to train shared models?
IntelloSync (IntelloContract)
We build this product, so read this section as the vendor's own account; the other sections are taken from each vendor's pages. IntelloContract is the contract module of the IntelloSync platform. Contracts are drafted from templates and negotiated as real .docx files in Word Online or desktop Word, with the Copilot add-in reviewing against your playbooks inside the Word pane. Approvals route by contract type, value and department. Execution supports Aadhaar OTP eSign, DSC token signing and virtual signatures, plus Zoho Sign, DocuSign and Adobe Sign for global counterparties, with digital e-stamping in the same flow. After signature, the repository extracts parties, dates and obligations and feeds renewals to a calendar with owners and alerts. The same repository, permission model and AI layer serve IntelloVault (documents), IntelloVendor (third-party risk), IntelloComply (regulatory and contractual obligations) and IntelloCase (litigation). Pricing is per module with unlimited users, with a 30-day free trial. IntelloSync is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. Our view, as its maker: IntelloContract is the best Icertis alternative for a mid-size Indian company that negotiates in Word and signs with Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping, because those sit in one flow, the price does not rise with the number of users, and vendors, compliance and disputes share the same contract data.
SpotDraft, Leegality, Zoho Contracts and Provakil
SpotDraft (New York and Bengaluru) documents review in desktop Word and a web editor, Aadhaar eSign through UIDAI-certified Certifying Authorities and e-stamps from 25+ states, with pricing on quote. Leegality (Gurugram) is an Indian signing and stamping platform with a contract layer: 15+ eSign types including Aadhaar eSign and DSC, e-stamping in 31 states and union territories (29+ in another line of the same page), and published per-signatory and per-stamp-paper prices. Zoho Contracts edits in a built-in editor powered by Zoho Writer, includes Zoho Sign, reaches Aadhaar signatures and stamp papers through its Leegality integration, and publishes per-user plans. Provakil (Pune) sells a CLM with a native Word and PDF editor and e-stamp value generation alongside its litigation product. Our SpotDraft and Volody alternatives comparisons carry the detail and sources for these four.
Juro
Juro (Boston and London) tags its contract templates as replacing Word, Google Docs and PDF, with a Word add-in on all plans for counterparties who prefer Word. Its own eSignature is designed to meet the requirements for an advanced electronic signature; Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping are not published. It runs on AWS and states SOC 2 Type 2; ISO 27001, a data region and an India presence are not published. Pricing is a custom plan.
Ironclad and Workday Contract Lifecycle Management
Ironclad prices by products, users and workflows on a tailored quote, lets users search and open Ironclad documents from Microsoft Word, and describes US-hosted Google Cloud production servers with SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II reports; under a heading 'ISO 27001/17/18' its text says its public cloud vendors are certified. Evisort's site now redirects to Workday, which sells Workday Contract Lifecycle Management powered by Evisort AI, with automated redlining, a clause library and AI questions across contracts, with no published CLM pricing; its Contracts Agent page describes Flex Credits, a pay-as-you-go model for AI agents. Neither publishes Aadhaar eSign, DSC or e-stamping on the pages read. Both suit companies already running US-centric processes or Workday.
Which fits which
From the vendors' own descriptions, not a ranking.
- Aadhaar eSign, DSC and e-stamping in one contract flow: IntelloSync and Leegality publish all three; SpotDraft publishes Aadhaar eSign and e-stamping.
- Vendors, compliance and disputes on the same contract data: IntelloSync; Provakil adds litigation.
- Published prices: Leegality and Zoho Contracts.
- Already on Workday: Workday Contract Lifecycle Management. Already on Zoho: Zoho Contracts.
- Global Fortune 500 scale on Microsoft Azure: Icertis remains the vendor built for it.
How to test it in a trial
Run the same five contracts through each shortlisted tool.
- Send a third-party Word draft through two redline rounds and check tracked changes, comments and clause numbering at the end.
- Stamp and sign one agreement in a state you use often: count the steps, the hours and the per-use fees.
- Ask for the implementation plan in weeks and the people it needs on your side.
- Price the tool for everyone who touches a contract, including approvers and occasional reviewers.
- Ask where your data will be hosted and for the vendor's own certificates.
Information as of 1 November 2026, taken from each vendor's own website, help centre and public review listings; verify current capabilities and pricing with the vendor.
